Julie is an accidental D.J.
as she likes to call it. The day after graduating high school in a rural Virginia town, Julie's mother bluntly told her that she needed to get a job...Now! Just to appease her mom, Julie started submitting applications, including one to her hometown radio station. They hired her!
But, due to her lack of experience, she was first assigned to the company's secondary station but quickly worked her way up to position on their bigger station. She also acquired a boyfriend in the process - the station's news director. A few years passed and Julie received her business management degree as well as certification in radio/television broadcasting and moved on to bigger radio stations throughout Virginia and also in Washington, D.C.
Julie married the news director in 2004, had a beautiful baby girl in 2005 and moved to the East Tennessee area in 2007. She is now the proud Mother to another gorgeous baby girl and two miniature dachshunds and a Shetland sheepdog!
Julie loves playing The Best Country Ever
on weekends and has a special place in her heart for the Bellamy Brothers as the first song she sang at the tender age of two was Sugar Daddy.
When Julie's not in the studio, watch out for her mom-mobile
(minivan) as she's usually running late to dance classes, soccer practice or taking her girls to the movies or Dollywood!
