Bible estate home destroyed by fire.
A large, two-story frame home on Fowler's Grove Road in the Bybee community was destroyed by fire early this morning. Firefighters said the unoccupied home, had no electricity and had been vandalized in the past. Both the Cocke County Fire Department and Centerview Volunteer Fire Department responded to the blaze reported at 1am, and found the home totally engulfed in flames. A total of nine volunteers from the Centerview unit, utilizing three trucks, worked at the scene for several hours this morning, after the blaze spread to nearby grassland. The dollar loss has not been determined The home was a part of the Dennis Bible estate which is currently being probated in Cocke County Chancery Court.
