Cocke County home fires Cocke County authorities are investigating the cause of a Friday night home fire on Good Hope Road. Deputy Joseph Owings said the home owned by Drew Oliver Clevenger burned at 10pm. Clevenger said he was seated in his home when someone came by to say his adjacent old home was on fire. The homeowner said he was in the process of remodeling the residence. It was vacant and there was no water or electricity to the home The blaze was controlled by the Cocke County and Parrottsville Volunteer Fire Departments. Clevenger asked that a detective be called into the case. The home and contents have a total value of $150,000. It was the second vacant home without electricity to be destroyed by fire in Cocke County on Friday. A large two-story frame home on Fowlers Grove Road in the Bybee community, owned by the Dennis Bible estate, was destroyed by fire early that morning
