Lewis faces oxycodone charges
A Cocke County man stopped over the weekend for traffic violations now is being held on a $25,000 bond on charges returned in January by a Cocke County Grand Jury. Hollis Lewis, 46, Driskell Circle, Newport, was stopped by Newport Patrolman Matthew Elliott for a light violation, and he also was found to be driving on a suspended license. Later it was determined that Lewis was wanted on a charge of possession of oxycodone with the intent to sell and deliver.
