Gaffney injured and jailed
A Jefferson County man who wrecked his motorcycle in Cocke County on Sunday morning, now is being held on charges of DUI and violation of the due care law. Deputy Lt. Robert Thornton said William L. Gaffney, 55, Hemlock Road, Dandridge was traveling on Highway 160 when he was involved in a traffic crash which was investigated by Trooper Brad Robbins. Gaffney was transported to Jefferson Memorial Hospital for treatment of his injuries, and after his release, Lt. Thornton jailed him on the traffic charges.
