Dale jailed after Saturday crash
A Bybee woman was jailed Saturday after Cocke County Deputy Sgt. Bob Schaff responded to a report that a child had ran from a vehicle on Airport Road to say her mother was being choked by her boyfriend. A short time later officers were dispatched to a vehicle that reportedly was on it's side on Bear Creek Road. At the scene the 1997 Plymouth van was found on it's side, and officers observed footprints in the grass leading to the residence of Kristin A. Dale, 26, on Busler Road. The woman said she had not been choked but she and her boyfriend had been arguing while she drove with her seven year-old son and one month old-daughter as passengers. Ms. Dale also had an odor of alcohol on her person. As a result she was jailed on charges of DUI, driving on a revoked license, leaving the scene of an accident, two counts child endangerment and violation of the insurance law. The defendant also was wanted for violation of probation.
