Arrests in Parrottsville altercation
Two women were arrested and three other individuals face charges in a Sunday morning incident in Parrottsville. Deputy Jonathan Ball said he and other officers responded to the Makayla Battista residence on Smelcer Road at 5:45 am. Battista and Amy Lee Loyd, 24, Point Pleasant Road, Newport, were charged with assault following the altercation inside the Battista home. Officers say Selena Vick, Jose Hall and Derrick Neely went into a bedroom and fled out a window because they were wanted on warrants. So warrants now have been issued for the trio, charging them additionally with fleeing to evade arrest.
