Car destroyed by fire
A vehicle fire Saturday on the Cosby Road in Cocke County left heavy damage. Raymond Joudi, Jacksonville, Florida told Deputy Travis Vaughn he was pulling his 2014 Nissan Versa behind his Coachman motor coach on the Cosby Highway at 11:23 am, when he discovered the car was on fire. Cocke County Firefighters responded to the scene and extinguished the blaze, but not before the car was destroyed and the motor home was damaged. Deputy Vaughn said the car was valued at $14,000, and the motor home sustained smoke and fire damage estimated at $3,000. The cause of the fire is undetermined.
