Girlfriend arrested for hiding sex offender
Jefferson City authorities have arrested a Carson Newman University student from Nevada, on charges she allowed her boyfriend to live in her dorm room. The boyfriend, Justin Lapale Shepard, 24, a registered sex offender, was arrested last week for violating sex offender restrictions. Keisha Nicole Galido San-Pedro, 24, was charged with criminasl responsibility for facilitation of a felony on Friday . Investigators say she hid Shepard in the female-only housing in violation of school rules. When he registered with Jefferson County authorities in late January, Shepard gave the address of the dorm, but he was told he could not live there because it is within 1,000 yards of the school's child development site as well as a public park.
