Student charged with marijuana on campus
A 16 year-old Cocke County High School student was charged Thursday after he allegedly took marijuana to the school. School Resource Officer Sgt. Randy Cutshaw said another student reported that the defendant had marijuana hidden in the handle of his hairbrush. A teacher subsequently found the pot inside the handle of the brush. The student who is charged with simple possession of marijuana on school property, was released into the custody of his parents pending a Juvenile Court appearance.
