Walker arrest A Cocke County man who has had numerous scrapes with the law in recent years is back behind bars. Cocke County Deputy Sgt. Heath Willis said he responded to a traffic crash on Tally Road in the Parrottsville community Sunday evening but found the 2002 Ford Escape had been abandoned. A short time later Dwayne Mark Walker, 46, North Ridge Drive, Parrottsville showed up at the scene. The intoxicated Walker told officers that his daughter had been driving the auto. But the witness to the crash described Walker as the driver. and when contacted, his daughter said she was in Dandridge and had not driven the car. As a result Walker now faces charges of his Eighth offense DUI, Seventh offense driving on a revoked license, violation of the implied consent law, leaving the scene of an accident with property damage, failure to report an accident, lack of registration, failure to exercise due care, misuse of a registration, and failure to provide information and render aid.
