Meth arrests
Two women were jailed this morning by Newport authorities following a traffic stop and major meth bust. Patrol Officer Joshua Shults said he stopped a vehicle on the Cosby Highway at 1:20 am for speeding and light law offenses. Alisha Samantha Fetty, 33, Yonkers Way, Newport, and Savannah Denise Ford, 27,Gatlinburg, were found to be in possession of six grams of methamphetamine and oxycodone Both are charged with possession of methamphetamine and oxycodone for resale as well as possession of drug paraphernalia. Ford also is charged with speeding and a light law violation.
