Hollman arrest A man who escaped a North Dakota prison earlier this month was arrested in Cocke County on Monday. Cocke County Deputy Sgt. Michael Whitmer said he received information that Leroy Hollman, 29, was living at a residence on Carson Springs Road. Officers went to the area and found Hollman working on a car. When approached, the suspect began walking toward the residence but when told to stop, he did so. Hollman then gave officers a false name and produced an identification card to prove it. But Sgt. Whitmer said the photo on the card did not match the appearance of Hollman. In addition the height did not match that of the suspect. As a result Hollman was taken into custody. He allegedly walked away from the Missouri River Correctional Center on May 1. Hollman, was serving time for drug possession, theft, and giving false information to law enforcement, according to the Bismarck(ND) Tribune. An examination of the spray painted 2003 Chevrolet revealed it is registered in South Dakota but was reported stolen from Bismarck, North Dakota. An inventory of the auto revealed a baggie of suspected methamphetamine, spoons with residue, lighter, butane torch, knives, hand tools, a pry bar, vehicle unlocking kit and other items. Now Hollman is charged with criminal impersonation,as well as theft of property and drug paraphernalia. He is being held as a Fugitive from Justice awaiting extradition to North Dakota.
