Holt faces charges
A former Cocke County sheriff's deputy faces charges following a Sunday morning incident. Cassidy Webb, St. Tide Hollow Road told Deputy Logan Starritt that she was at the Golf Course Road home of Josh Holt, when he became violent toward her. Webb said on Friday Holt wanted her to call his work, but she refused. He allegedly became violent, head-butted her, then held her down with his forearm across her throat and struck her. The victim said she started packing her belongings to leave but the 35 year-old Holt, threw her belongings out the door and kicked her leg. Officer Starritt was told the incident was the third time Holt had become violent toward Ms. Webb. The victim had a black eye and and leg bruise, and as a result Holt is charged with domestic assault. The officer said he spoke to Webb on Saturday and she told him "it was possible Josh was on meth at the time of the assault."
