Highway 25E crash
Three persons were injured Monday morning in a two-vehicle crash on Highway 25E near the Emerald Springs Way intersection in Cocke County. Sheriff's Deputies Daniel Smith and Jonathan Ball said the 6:25 a.m. collision closed the roadway for an hour. The officers said Benjamin Patrick Allison, 22, Lincoln Avenue who was northbound in a 2002 Hyundai crossed the center line and struck a southbound 2013 Nissan operated by Tracy Burris Ramsey, 53, Hayter Drive, Morristown. The Ramsey car went down an embankment after being struck. Ramsey and her passenger, Audrey Hickey, 52,Williams Street, Morristown, along with a passenger in the Allison vehicle, Christian Romines, 17, Bridge Chapel Road, Dandridge were taken by First Call EMS to Newport Medical Center. None had incapacitating injuries. Allison was cited for driving on a revoked license.
