Gentry arrest
A woman who kept falling asleep as she talked with a Cocke County Jail inmate on the visitor's phone on Monday, now faces charges. Deputy Justin Johnson said Tiffany Gentry, 30, Bonanza Drive, Newport, had a slurred speech and spoke in a loud voice, so she was taken into custody on public intoxication charges. Once in custody, Gentry was found to be in possession of ten Clonazepam pills as well as $264 in cash. The pills were in an unmarked container, and so the subject is charged with possession of Clonazepam with intent to resell and introduction of contraband into a penal institution.
