Cocke County Grand Jury (Tuesday)
A Cocke County Grand Jury meeting for a second day on Tuesday, indicted a number of defendants. Evan D. Parker,21, Greenwood, Indiana, is charged with two counts rape of a child and two counts aggravated sexual battery involving a child under 13 years of age, on two occasions in May. Robert Ryan Parker, 38, Anderson, South Carolina, is charged with possession of buprenorphine, oxycodone and alprazolam with the intent to sell and deliver, as well as possession of a legend drug. Christopher Luke Gorrell, 33, Old Newport Highway, Newport, is indicted for the sale and delivery of methamphetamine, possession of drug paraphernalia, evading arrest and resisting arrest. Jeffrey Holmes, 37, Sevierville, is charged with possession of methamphetamine with the intent to sell and deliver, as well as possession of drug paraphernalia.
