Weekend fires in Cocke County
Cocke County firemen responded to several fires over the weekend. At about 2:30am Sunday, fire began in a storage room of a home on Odyssey Road in Del Rio, owned by Joseph Stokely. Deputy Sgt. Bob Schaff said there was no electricity to that portion of the home, and the cause of the blaze is undetermined. The Del Rio Volunteer Fire Department also responded to the blaze. Then Sunday afternoon a fire damaged a home on Palmer Hollow Road in Bybee. The fire under the home burned through a plastic waterline, and the resulting s-pray of water extinguished the fire. The cause of the blaze and the damage, has not been determined.
