Kapileo faces charges A Newport man who allegedly walked into the home of his neighbor, handed her a loaf of bread and then hugged and kissed her, now faces charges. Jesus Kapileo, 52, Highway 160, is charged with aggravated burglary and sexual battery, according to arresting Deputy Zach Shelton. The 24 year-old female victim told authorities Kapileo knocked on her door, handed her the bread and then walked into her home on July 22. As the suspect entered the residence he told the woman she needed help cleaning her house, pushed his way past her and closed the door. After telling Kapileo to leave, the victim says he "began hugging and kissing her and telling her how much he cared for her," Officer Shelton said. According to the victim, she got away and again told the defendant to leave, at which time he did so after telling the woman he loved her. The victim said she feared for her safety during the incident and after Kapileo left she drove to the sheriff's office to report the incident.
