Taylor tractor incident
A Cocke County man was injured Monday evening as he attempted to load his farm tractor onto a trailer. Cocke County Deputy Michael Shelton said the incident occurred at the Terry Taylor property on Knob Creek Road in the Bybee community. Taylor reportedly was pulling the tractor onto the trailer at 9:45 p.m. when the weight of the tractor lifted the truck, sending the truck, trailer and tractor off an embankment. Although the 70 year-old Taylor was not pinned under the tractor, he was thrown off. First Call EMS transported the injured farmer to the UT Medical Center in Knoxville for evaluation and treatment.
