Highway 25E delays
The Tennessee Department of Transportation is reminding motorists traveling in Cocke and Jefferson Counties that they should be aware of a lane shift planned for Monday on Highway 25E. All traffic over the French Broad River will be shifted from the existing roadway and bridge to the new alignment and bridge. Motorists should expect temporary intermittent delays as the paving and re-striping of the roadway is underway. Traffic will continue to utilize the temporary traffic signal and at times will be directed by flagging personnel. By Monday evening, all lanes will be open across the bridge and the traffic signal will be removed. Motorists are advised to use extreme caution in this area as workers will be present.
