Clevenger arrest
A Bowman Drive, Newport woman was jailed Friday by Deputy Max laughter after he was called to a fishing shack on Brown Hollow Road. Brenda Clevenger, 41, had allegedly threatened to harm herself whele under the influence of methamphetamine. The officer found the woman to be very distraught and making no sense as she talked, indicating a male had broken in the front glass door. While on the scene, Officer Laughter said Clevenger punched her son, Justin Clevenger on the mouth causing a laceration. The owner of the single wide, Carrie Peach said no one was to be inside the the home which is used only as a fishing shack. As a result Brenda Lee Clevenger is charged with aggravated burglary, domestic assault and vandalism.
