Gregg arrest For the second time in ten days, Newport authorities have jailed a man who threatened to kill himself. Captain Terry Lawson said he responded to the Jackie Gregg residence on North Susong Street where he found Gregg outside of his home waving a knife and holding it to his chest. The subject asked the officer to kill him. Police said Gregg had been arguing with a female, Angela Renner. Patrol Officer William Garber deployed his taser, disabling Gregg. The subject was evaluated at the Newport Medical Center and then jailed on charges of aggravated domestic assault and resisting arrest. On September, 16, Newport authorities defused a volatile situation without injury, when Dustin Rhinebolt held a pistol to his head and then fired it into the air, saying he wanted to kill himself. He was arrested after being tased by police.
