South Highway 321 crash
Both drivers sustained non-life threatening injuries in a Monday afternoon crash on South Highway 321 near the Middle Creek Road intersection. Deputy Sgt. Brian Holt said the 1:07 p.m. collision occurred when southbound Briana West, 24, Sevierville, ran off the right side of the roadway. She over-corrected and went into the northbound lane where West collided with Johnny Wayne Messer, 53, Big Creek Road, Hartford. A passenger in the West vehicle, Jace West, one year-old, was not injured. Both drivers were taken by First Call EMS to the Newport Medical Center. West was cited for no insurance and failure to maintain her lane.
