Body recovered Cocke County authorities have been joined by agents from the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation, along with investigators from the office of District Attorney General Jimmy Dunn, in investigating a death. Cocke County Sheriff Armando Fontes in a press release issued Thursday evening, said the body was found at about 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday, on private property off O'Neil Road in the Edwina community. Investigators declined to provide additional information on the location. Sheriff Fontes said officers received a call from an individual who located the body in a wooded area near his property, and investigators are working to determine if the death was the result of foul play. An autopsy is to be conducted to determine an identification, the cause of death, as well as the gender of the body. The sheriff said the body does appear to be that of an adult, and he will release more details as the investigation continues. Investigators say it may be several days before results of the autopsy are released.
