Timmy Seay arrest
A Cocke County man who called 911 from O'Neil Road last Wednesday, now is charged with violating the provisions of the Community Corrections program. Deputy Max Laughter who made the arrest, does not detail in his report the nature of the 911 call from Timmy Seay, 43, Robert E. Lee Drive, Newport, however a decomposed body was found that evening on O'Neil Road. The officer says Seay was placed in the Community Corrections program for seven years following the October 3, plea to charges of possession of methamphetamine and marijuana with the intent to sell, theft over $1,000, operation of a chop shop and possession of drug paraphernalia. Corrections Officer Mark Sartain obtained the arrest warrant alleging that Seay failed to complete a court ordered drug treatment at True Purpose Ministries. Seay was discharged from the program on October 14, after he was found in possession of tobacco and suboxone which he had brought into the program.
