Cocke County fire Cocke County firefighters were joined by Centerview volunteer firemen earlier this week in fighting a brush fire in the Bybee community. Justin Shelton, a firefighter with Cocke County said the fire on Howard Road was confined to a hillside covered with brush and dead trees. The 56 acre blaze was contained after a four-hour firefighting effort. Shelton said the ownership of the acreage has not been determined.
