ATV crash
Cocke County authorities say a Del Rio woman was injured in a Sunday afternoon ATV incident off Midway Road in Del Rio. Deputy Sgt. Max Laughter said 6 pm incident occurred as Frances Henderson of Midway Road, drove a Kubota Side by Side ATV with Thelma Messer, 74, as her passenger. He said the women were crossing a creek on the backside of their co-joined properties when Ms. Henderson "pressed the wrong pedal", causing Mrs. Messer to fall from the ATV. The injured woman was treated by First Call EMS personnel on the scene and then was flown to the UT Medical Center in Knoxville for treatment of head injuries.
