Presnell arrest
A Cosby man wanted on charges handed down by a Cocke County Grand Jury in February, was taken into custody Saturday by Cocke County Deputy Sgt. Bob Schaff. Michael Allen Presnell, 45, Keener Road, was found on Epley Road in possession of a glass pipe believed used to smoke methamphetamine. And after being taken to jail, a marijuana pipe was found on the floorboard of the cruiser. As a result, Presnell is charged with possession of drug paraphernalia. He was picked up initially on a capias from the grand jury which charges Presnell with theft over $1,000, conspiracy to commit theft over $1,000 and operation of a chop shop. The case is being prosecuted by Newport Detective Lt. Derrick Webb, with bond set at $10,000.
