Epley Road arrests
Two residents of an Epley Road, Newport home face charges following their Saturday arrest. Cocke County Lt. Steve Johnson said he and Deputy Eric Ramsey responded to the residence of John Sisk, 22, and Kimberly Shyan Strickland, 26, in search of wanted subjects. Drug paraphernalia was found in the home, and Sisk had a large bag of suspected methamphetamine along with two glass pipes, in his pocket. He is charged with possession of methamphetamine, and drug paraphernalia as well as two counts violation of probation. Strickland was found hiding in a closet and gave the officers the false identity of her mother, and also said she did not know her social security number. She is charged with two counts of escape from two separate drug rehab facilities, two counts criminal impersonation, two counts identity theft, violation of probation and false reports. Authorities also seized a vehicle that had earlier been reported stolen however the investigation into that report is continuing.
