Olden death; Hadley arrest
A Cocke County man faces charges following the Saturday death of a friend. Cocke County Deput7y Logan Starritt said he responded to Allens Chapel Road, Parrottsville, where Michael Hadley reported his friend McDonald Olden was unresponsive. Officer Starritt said the 54 year-old Olden was found dead in his bedroom. Hadley, 25, West Broadway, Newport, who was allegedly under the influence of methamphetamine, was distraught, telling investigators that Olden had taken an Opana pill the4 night before. Three Opana pills were found on Hadley, and so he is charged with possession of Opana for resale and public intoxication.
