Arrests on sealed presentments
Several local residents recently were taken into custody on sealed presentments returned by a Cocke County Grand Jury. Janice Faye Allen, 53, Highway 25E, Newport is charged with three counts sale and delivery of methamphetamine, according to Deputy Sgt. Brian Holt. She was indicted in April. Ricky Ray McGaha, Jr., 28, Lindsey Gap Road, Cosby, was arrested by Deputy Heath Willis who had responded to a domestic disturbance at his residence. McGaha is charged with the sale and delivery of a Schedule III controlled substance, returned by the grand jury in April. David Michael Horner, 62, Hopeful Way, Newport, was arrested after Deputy Michael Shelton responded to a domestic dispute at a neighboring residence. Horner was wanted on charges of DUI, no insurance, and violation of the registration law, in an August, 2015 indictment.
