Commodity distribution Patricia Spurgeon, Coordinator of the Douglas Cherokee Economic Authority.....Cocke County Neighborhood Center, says commodity distribution is scheduled for today beginning at 8:30 am at the Newport National Guard Armory on Armory Road. Coordinator Douglas Cherokee will be distributing 40 – 45 pounds of Commodity food to Cocke Co residents. In addition, the Economic Authority will be hosting a Social Service Day Fair at the same time. There will be about 15 community agencies set up giving information to the public regarding their services.
