Tuition increase at UT
The University of Tennessees is proposing a tuition increase of 1.8 percent for next school year, down from 2.2 percent this year. And there would be no increase in out-of-state tuition. That would amount to an increase of $11.4 million in revenue. The move would mean undergraduate tuition at the Knoxville campus would be $11,110, or $12,970 with fees. A subcommittee of the UT Board of Trustees will meet today to talk about the plan, and the full board meets next week.
