Walters State and Conagra sign agreement
Dr. Tony Miksa, president of Walters State Community College, and Dennis Tims, plant manager for Conagra Newport, signed an agreement Tuesday that will make it much easier for residents of Cocke County to access the college's Division of Workforce Training programs. The school says Conagra is modifying it's Fleet Building on East Broadway for use as a training center, and programs including welding and industrial maintenance will be offered. Dr. Miksa expressed his appreciation to Conagra for "partnering with Walters State to bring this needed training to Newport!"
