ETSU looking at tuition hike
The East Tennessee State University Board of Trustees, later this week will consider a tuition hike of 3.9 percent, compared to a 1.8 percent hike at UT. The proposed ETSU hike is within the Tennessee Higher Education Committee’s binding tuition cap of 4 percent. For at least the last five years, ETSU has raised its tuition due to inflation and the rising costs of providing higher education. The proposed increase will actually be one of the lowest in 25 years.
