Highway 73 crash
The Tennessee Highway Patrol says two persons were injured early Thursday morning in a single vehicle crash on Highway 73. The crash occurred at 12:19 am near the intersection with Tolley Hollow Road. Lt. Richard Garrison said Michael James, 31 of Cosby was southbound when his 2002 Chevrolet pickup left the roadway on the right, traveled several hundred feet and struck a tree. Both James and his passenger, Amber Hall, 29, of Parrottsville were sent to the University of Tennessee Medical Center in Knoxville. They were not wearing seatbelts. Hall was treated and released and at last report James was in stable condition. Lt. Garrison said charges are pending.
