A Cocke County man has been picked up on charges handed down by a Cocke Coutny Grand Jury in March. David Dollar, 47, Hannon Road, Newport was taken into custody by Cocke County Deputy Logan Starritt at his residence. The officer said the defendant refused to open the door to his home, but it was opened by a female after officers threatened to kick the door open. Dollar who is charged on a sealed presentment with the sale and delivery of a Schedule II controlled substance in a school zone, is being held without bond in the Cocke County Jail.
