Sutton arrest
A Cocke County man faces a charge of Indecent Exposure in connection with a July 9 incident involving a female insurance consultant. The victim who is from Chatanooga, told Cocke County Detective C.J. Ball that she traveled to the residence of Gary Wayne Sutton,56, Ransom Circle, Newport, with regard to Sutton's life insurance application. As she was leaving, the consultant says Sutton offered her $100 to see her breasts. As the woman was leaving the residence she says the defendant pulled his shorts to one side exposing himself. Detective Ball said the insurance representative was extremely upset following the encounter. Sutton was taken into custody by Deputy Chris Barnes, and bond is set at $2,500.
