Congressman Roe has prostate cancer
Republican First District Congressman Phil Roe announced Tuesday, that after a routine physical, he has been diagnosed with early-stage prostate cancer. The congressman said he will undergo treatment in East Tennessee during the August congressional break. Roe said his prognosis is excellent, and treatment is not expected to interfere with his scheduled legislative duties. The Congressman’s offices will remain open and operate as usual. The lawmaker said his office will provide an update after his treatment has been completed, however no further updates or comments will be provided before that time.
