Ordnance Disposal on Morrell Springs Road
Cocke County authorities Tuesday called on a Sevierville explosives unit after fireworks were found under the auto of a Morrell Springs Road man. Deputy Sgt. Brian Holt said Carl Gene Ramsey found four fireworks mortars under the gas tank of his vehicle at 10 am. The four mortars had been taped together and the wicks had been lit, however they went out before the mortars were ignited. The Sevierville EOD (Explosive Ordnance Disposal) Interagency Team was called to the scene to dispose of the explosive device. There is a suspect in the incident.
