THP wants to locate witnesses
Monday afternoon the Tennessee Highway Patrol put out an urgent appeal for information connected to a fatal traffic crash in Knoxville. Lt. Bill Miller said the THP Knoxville District is seeking public assistance in it's efforts to locate a hit and run driver. Preliminary information indicates that a Red Pontiac Vibe 4-door was traveling North Bound on Hwy. 441 Chapman Hwy., at which time a 13 month old child was struck and killed. Later on Wednesday the THP announced it is offering a $5,000 reward for information that will lead to the location of the vehicle and arrest of the individual involved in the hit and run crash. Anyone with information related to this incident is strongly encouraged to call the THP Knoxville District Dispatch Center at 865-544-3380 with information for Sergeant Steve Manning.
