Person of interest identified District Attorney General Jimmy B. Dunn says the Tennessee Highway Patrol in conjunction with the Sevier County Sheriff’s Department has identified a person of interest and a vehicle matching the description of a vehicle involved with a Wednesday fatal hit and run. Investigators say a red Pontiac VIBE hit and killed a 13 month-old child on Chapman Highway in Seymour, and then fled the scene. No charges have been placed and no one is in custody. Dunn says the investigation is ongoing and he thanked area residents for their prayers and support.
