BB gun at Cocke County High
A 16 year-old Cocke County High School student faces charges after he brought a BB gun and marijuana paraphernalia to school on Friday. Newport Captain Amy Gentry said a student overheard two other students talking about trading a gun for a set of head phones. The student was found to be in possession of the BB and paraphernalia. Captain Gentry said the boy was released to a family member on a charge of possession of drug paraphernalia.
