Jefferson City bank robbery
Jefferson City police are asking for assistance from the public in their search for the male who robbed the BB&T Bank on East Broadway Boulevard Friday evening. Police Chief Andy Dossett said at approximately 6:01 PM, Jefferson City officers responded to a robbery at the bank where they learned that an unidentified male wearing dark clothing entered the bank with a firearm and escaped with an undisclosed amount of money. The male is described as approximately 6 4, weighing approximately 250 pounds. No injuries were reported in the incident. Jefferson City detectives and Special Agents with the Federal Bureau of Investigation responded to the scene and are conducting an investigation. They say if any member of the public observed a suspicious person and/or vehicle in the area, or has any other information that may possibly be related, they should call the police departments at 865-475-2002 or Jefferson County E911 at 865-475-6855.
