White Pine crash
Both drivers in a two-vehicle collision Monday morning in White Pine sustained injuries. White Pine Chief of Police Chad Cotter said the 5:52 am crash occurred on Highway 25E near the Harrison Road intersection. Muhammed Khan, 69, White Pine was northbound on the highway in a 1995 Mercury mini-van, traveling slowly and with no headlights or tail lights. The vehicle was hit in the rear by Noah Dale Issac, 40, White Pine who was driving a Ford pickup truck. Upon arrival on the scene, officers found Khan lying on the roadway, with injuries apparently sustained in the crash. He was flown by medical helicopter to the Johnson City Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries. Issac was transported by Jefferson County EMS to a local hospital, also for treatment of non-life threatening injuries.
