Lau assault is investigated
Cocke County authorities are investigating a Mmonday morning assault incident on the Bogard Road. Aaron Lau, Marietta, Georgia reported he had been shot at 4:30am. Deputy Josh Hall said he arrived to find Lau seated in the driver's seat of his vehicle, bleeding from the mouth and left hand, and with blood in several places of the interior and on the headlight. The back window also was broken out. First Call EMS personnel determined that the subject had not been shot. Investigators said Lau had fought with another passenger, Matthew Dailey, 23,and then Dailey and another passenger, William Crisp II, left the scene on foot. Deputy Hall said Lau was transported by First Call EMS to the Newport Medical Center for treatment, was not interviewed because of his injuries. Detective Zack Shelton interviewed both Crisp and Dailey.
