Passport Fair
To assist busy customers, the Newport Post Office will host a Passport Fair this Saturday, January 13 from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 P.M. The office is located at 265 Cosby Highway, Newport. Fairs serve customers on a first come, first served basis. No appointments are needed, but there is a limited capacity for acceptance. The Postal Service suggests travelers check the expiration date on their U.S. passport. Many countries require a passport have as much as six months' validity remaining before allowing entry. Customers have the option of applying for a passport book, good for all international travel or the passport card which is good only for land and sea travel between the U.S. and Canada, Mexico, the Caribbean and Bermuda.
