EDC wants input The Cocke County Partnership’s Economic Development office is extending an invitation publicly to any citizen interested in the industrial development growth of the county. The Economic Development Commission has been accepted into the Property Evaluation Program facilitated by the State of TN. This program provides the county with professional site selection consulting services in order to receive an assessment on current and potential industrial sites around the county. A representative from Austin Consulting along with our TN State Site Development Director Leanne Cox will be in Newport to meet with residents on January 22 and 23. There will be appointed times during the visit to address citizens and stakeholders who may have questions or concerns regarding industrial site selection. Anyone interested in attending these sessions, should contact the office for further information. 423- 623-3008.
