Christmas lights funding
The Cocke County Finance Committee agreed Monday evening to recommend that the county fund $4,000 in the current budget for the Christmas lights through downtown. Commissioner Clayton "Skip" Ellison pointed out that the commission had earlier agreed to fund the lights at the same level as Newport, however the currant budget does not include an appropriation for the lights. He made a motion to fund the project, and it will be recommended to the full County Legislative Body meeting Monday evening.
